We just received the newest figure by Kaws. Officially licensed Stormtrooper by Medicom and Lucas Films. This figure stands just under 10 inches tall and is rumored to be limited to only 100 pieces.

Emportant News is a new book by Mark Gonzales, published by Decathlon Books. The images in Emportant News were all taken by Mark Gonzales on a Side Kick phone and then sent via email over the course of one year.

Radio Silence documents the ignored space between the Ramones and Nirvana through the words and images of the pre-Internet era where this community built on do-it-yourself ethics thrived. Authors Nathan Nedorostek and Anthony Pappalardo have cataloged private collections of unseen images, personal letters, original artwork, and various ephemera from the hardcore scene circa 1978-1993. Unseen photos lay next to hand-made t-shirts and original artwork brought to life by the words of their creators and fans. Radio Silence includes over 500 images of unseen photographs, illustrations, rare records, t-shirts, and fanzines presented in a manner that abandons the aesthetic clichés normally employed to depict the genre and lets the subject matter speak for itself. Contributions by Jeff Nelson, Dave Smalley, Walter Schreifels, Cynthia Connolly, Pat Dubar, Gus Peña, Rusty Moore, and Gavin Ogelsby with an essay by Mark Owens.

Just received Bounty Hunter’s latest figure the Kumara-Kun.  This is a nice addition to Bounty Hunter’s Kun family.  On this figure Bounty Hunter is stepping away from the traditionalskull based series and presents a more animated feel, or even a traditional Ad Toy / Character reference.

House Industries recently had the privilege to spend a day filming Ed Rondthaler, living legend, founder of Photo-Lettering, Inc., former president of the American Literacy Council and author of The Dictionary of Simplified American Spelling. JORDON Gardener chase figure by Michael Lau. This is a 1/10 chase ratio out of production run of 300 for the regular JORDON figure, so there are only 30 of these in the world. The detail is just what you would expect from Michael Lau. Amazing figure!

Super 7 just put out the first issue of their fresh new zine. It’s got bunch of interesting articles/interviews from their perspective. Pick up a copy if you get a chance.

I just received this in the mail from a friend of mine. It’s a collaboration between Japanese toy company Secret Base and Crank Tattoo. There are not that many of these floating around and this piece stands at only 5″ tall which makes the details that much more amazing!
